I'm thinking of doing this and I was wondering if sometimes my life could be at risk?

Im testing physically on tuesday... training in July... i have a Bachelors in Business, Air Force Intelligence Veteran, but i can't find any other jobs i qualify for out here in Reno, NV. I have a family to feed, so... to corrections I go.

The only thing that helps me is listening to Wayne Dyer explaining The Tao. I hope this helps a fellow CO or former CO . This job makes you a 'wolf'. It pushes you to confront the most rudimentary lowest common denominator of WHO and WHAT you are... You find out if you are either a Wolf or a Sheep. For those of us who habe been raised as well adjusted normal civil and pleasant and well meaning personalities this environment WILL chip away at you insidiously where you decided to NOT become a "sheep"... Therein lies the start of the fall of your better self in order to survive the company of wolves and predators.

I wish to God daily that i never took the CO test. What this occupation has done to me is horrible. Ive lost so much more than ive gained.

I was forced to take an implant at 316 east chestnut st Louisville ky in July of 2012 at the ccc jail by a nurse named Diane Hurstbourne after seeing Edd Hurstbourne using the equipment in the the same jail to torture someone. I've been a test subject or (TARGETED INDIVIDUAL) for the last 8 years, receiving voice to skull and remote Neural Monitoring from Darla Hurstbourne and her twin brother little prick Hurstbourne. He has be known to perform oral sex on the inmates to make friends and hire them to help. I have an x ray showing the chip in Louisville. I moved out of ky to avoid being set up by the Louisville Metro Police Department. If your from Louisville you know what I'm talking about....fake cia training center. I know the name of the tech that updated the system in the basement(braingate system) help me put a stop to this inhumane testing and torture. I have the chip, I have an x ray. I eyewitnesseed the braingate system being used. My family and friends as well as councilors believe me. I have called the police departments. (LMPD and Sheriff) as well as the ombudsman. They all know what I'm talking about, but it's out of their jurisdiction. It's corrections jurisdiction.They never answer the phone. Ever.

When you take care of bussiness at work but my department wants us to let everything go on your day off.especially at home.no domestic violence, no road rage, etc.i had a hard time with that

Hey , I am thrive ! I am excon and nothing hidden, it no reasonable. I been more around staff than parent or street of life share behavior long term .😊 I am see is not understand those street people that never in cell room and easy panic I am around them think I not understand their bond or life of experiences and I told how they so quick jump objectives that I not understand a freedom to be understanding good or bad. I say they fail understanding excon life. See most say weak can easy go in cell room than walk in trustee!. Same as street of life but who live street never in cell that think we higher risk be had life. I say they fail understanding I say! Even they think I am low functioning to be understanding life, because it different understanding expectations experiences between life outside be social. See cell room limit education providers and social life, most time when people release and crippled quick because it happens all time because fail order be matching with any who never in cell room of mind life functioning education discipline different. See agent had speak excon different way than who never in cell room long term .😊 what con: that I social is never been in cell and around staff of correction officers. Yes inmate had different level of risk be around any social forums to be able in or out.😊 sad bitten cause several inmate fail rehabilitation avoid any mistakes to be trap and easy enter be send back corrections facility. Soon when new person is call fish in be understanding life in facility. Corrections officer can be as fish for first job. Not meant insulting but understanding when long term in social see different pictures of what effect between officers and steering people view inmate behavior and what risk level to see clearly analysis of factors factual. Now officers: could say that inmate is very low risk and it abilities be good man or woman. Now people of street: could say that inmate is very high risk and it abilities not be good man or woman!😮😮😮😮 twist both side different statement history report. Why both fail understanding each other into crippled and crisis made inmate coming back facility?. Those people street need stop push those inmate return fallen out rehabilitation to be keep low risk. Officers knew most major inmate desire is contraband! 😮😊😂😊 see once habitat into habitual carry contraband in home as cell room. Officers knew secret than street people of inmate once been in life of social with officers. Why people street not understanding factual normal contraband to be think excon is high risk but I bet to officer it low risk but normal contraband if abilities. But panic attacks by people when I in their street and carry contraband! 😮😮😮😮 they think I am dangerous which it just contraband. Most officers will say go TL or Etc. Bur punishment is low. In street if I took be had contraband and it can get high punishment than be in cell room if had contraband and small punishment but return level able but in life outside facility it refused allowed return level able equal freedom over stupid contraband not in facility but life street.😮😮😊 What a twist for excon. See easy for excon quick back cell room for stupid contraband be again con. Because outside facility refused providers return their level chapter life be had as other of normal movements. Once play no equal it crippled for who able easy back in facility for contraband sir. But triple punishment sad huh.😊 Be safe Watch out snap mind of inmate into able act insanity or act manslaught behavior in facility because went maddest loss mind. Be safe . 😊

Yup....Making inmates get out of bed every couple hours sure makes your job easier...

As a former Correctional Officer,,,I can say that what worked for me was simple. 1. Keep your word-Period!!! 2. You are not Judge,,,Jury & Executioner,,, they're doing there time. Treat them like you want to be treated. 3. Respect -Give it & it will be given,,,often earned. 4. Be brutally honest. That's well appreciated. 5. Do NOT try & be a tough guy w a loud mouth,,, you'll catch a reality check sooner or later. The goal is to go home @ the end of your shift.

Soft ass LT! never worked a real jail. To much book smarts but never jail experience!

THe Jail i work in put in there contract if you volunteer for Overtime you will get double time and 1/4th 2.25 rate of pay, and if you dont and get Mandatory OT you will just get 1 1/2 rate of pay. It made a great incentive to get people to volunteer.

This is why nobody wants to work, I worked in the hospital during CV, 12-hour shifts 6 days in a row crazy nobody can think properly this is how accidents, nobody should be worked like that ever, especially in a prison, hospital, firefighter, police officer of any, 8-hour only shifts because you need to be alert capable of moving quick making quick decisions and sorry you really can't do that on 12 to 16 hours your mind is no longer sharp and capable of thinking quick. Just my opinion

my 1st day female inmate broke her door window with a tray and was put in a restranment chair, fast forward to amonth ago she wanted the other CO to kill me lol...now fast forward to today ive written 2 reports on inmates hoarding toilet paper, fuckn slowies i tell ya.

They need to have better bedding and food and activities

In my country working as a prison officer these days we are not allowed to use vulgarity on inmates hence they climb to our heads,feel as a correctional unit officer we must have the freedom to be tough to them,we are told to be firm only which is not enough,they no longer fear us,don’t know about America prison
